I want to work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression,
grief
, self-esteem, body image, chronic illnesses, stress, life changes, and life transitions.
Asking for help can be hard, but therapy can help you find yourself, and learn how to cope with life. I believe that it is essential to develop trust between the therapist and client, and that the therapist should provide a safe space for each client. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe space where you can feel comfortable enough to open up and share your story, and in the process find who you are.

My clinical specialties include working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, has difficulties managing work/life balance, suffering from
grief
and
loss
, as well as women's issues and phase of life problems.
Entering an intimate space with yourself is no easy task. But with the help of someone you trust, it makes the journey a bit easier to embrace. It is my belief that my job as a therapist is to help my clients connect the dots within their lives to enhance their mental health. This is done by unpacking, exploring and examining roadblocks from our past that are preventing us from being present in the present. This type of awareness helps to foster continual growth & grants access to understanding the story behind our behaviors.

My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, self-esteem/body confidence, trauma/PTSD, and
grief
.
I strive to build meaningful and impactful relationships with anyone who decides to begin individual or couples therapy with me. As we are developing our therapeutic relationship, I seek to understand and demonstrate respect for your identities, your perspective of the world, and to provide a therapeutic space that empowers you to find peace, balance, and security within. You and I will set the tone of our sessions. Our sessions will open and close with open-ended questions, “temperature checks”, recaps, or debriefs in which we will both express whatever concerns, emotions and thoughts come before or during conversation.

Grief
,

, and trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on you or people you love. You may feel isolated from others and overwhelmed as you try to go about day-to-day tasks; you may struggle to feel safe, express your emotions, or understand how to make meaning from all that has happened. Other people might be telling you to “get over” it, as if
grief

Yes! You are ready, and I am here to help! It is not always easy to seek help in a world in which you often feel unsafe, unseen, unprotected, and at times perceived as a threat. Far too often, you are met with unrealistic expectations on how you're "supposed" to feel and express emotions and what it means "to be a man." I have been able to transform the lives of teenagers and adults who've had significant difficulty managing stress, regulating their emotions, navigating social situations, and processing

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
