Do you ever feel like your emotions, relationships, or daily stressors are harder to navigate than they should be — even when you’re doing your best to keep it together? Many people come to therapy feeling burdened by anxiety, depression, school or work pressures, relationship pain, or patterns they can’t quite shift on their own. If you’re longing for a safe, supportive space where your story is truly heard and your strengths are honored, you deserve that kind of support.

Infidelity is painful, it impacts the whole family and creates a trauma that is not easily recovered from. Some days the intrusive thoughts and shame feel unbearable. There is so much happening all at once and decisions that need to be made have a sense of urgency that only adds to stress. infidelity does not have to be the end of your relationship. That choice belongs to you. Therapy can help you lay it all out and decide what is best for you and your family. Rebuilding trust and attachment can not be accomplished without vulnerability and truth.

My ideal client is one who has trouble taking care of themselves but makes sure everyone else is taken care of. One who has noticed a pattern of relationships in their family that are rooted in emotional neglect, disrespect, and unhealthy enmeshments. One who struggles to express themselves, constantly feels unheard, and deep down inside feels unworthy (but wouldn’t dare to say it). As a therapist my biggest strength has been my ability to aid clients in restoring hope and embracing all parts of themselves

My ideal client is someone who feels emotionally overwhelmed often anxious, depressed, or carrying the weight of unresolved trauma but is ready for change. They value privacy and seek discreet, one-on-one therapy where they can be truly themselves without fear of judgment. They long for an authentic, trusting relationship with a therapist who meets them with compassion and honesty. Their goals often include managing emotions, building confidence, setting boundaries, and creating deeper, more fulfilling connections. They want to feel safe, seen, and supported as they work toward healing and reclaiming their sense of self.

We sometimes find ourselves struggling in life. Psychotherapy can be a great opportunity to examine where we are, how we got there, and where we want to go from here. I work collaboratively with clients to explore these questions with empathy, curiosity, and care. I am passionate about supporting clients in being their true, authentic selves, and helping them to create deeper connections with the people in their lives. I value the diverse identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences that each client brings. I aim to meet clients where they are at to uncover the right goals for them.

I help people with issues including anxiety, depression, family and couple conflicts, life transitions, and coping with living under growing authoritarianism, as well as negative thoughts, self-worth struggles, and perfectionism. Having been in practice for over 20 years, I have extensive experience. Reaching out to a therapist can be scary. I work to create an open, judgement-free environment where we will work on your problems collaboratively.

If you're not living the life you love, lets talk about it. I work with highly ambitious, driven people whose lives seem to be going well on the outside – but privately, they're in pain. My clients may also experience lack of focus and procrastination. The cause may be evident or waiting to be discovered. Either way, something needs to be addressed in order to fully blossom, and my clients are willing to do the work to address it.

If you’re finding yourself stuck in the same relationship patterns, therapy can be a great place to explore a new way of connecting with others. Oftentimes, what gets in the way are unhealed wounds, survival strategies that have outlasted their effectiveness, and fears of experiencing the same emotional pains. Through deep exploration of these dynamics with yourself and others, I help my clients engage in the hard work of building relationship security. I can help you cultivate self-compassion, improve your communication skills, and get more in touch with your emotional experiences.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
