I deeply value the relationship between therapist and client and believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I approach therapy with a compassionate and open stance, striving to create a genuine connection with each of my clients. I believe that this approach allows individuals to recognize their strengths while being vulnerable about their needs and concerns.
My professional interests include working individually with clients who struggle with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, infertility, life transitions & gender violence. Additionally, I have a keen interest in working with individuals of color who experience stress related to marginalization, acculturation and intergenerational conflict.
Prior to private practice, I worked with veterans at the Hines VA Hospital and with adults in the criminal justice system in both Lake and Cook counties. I have also taught courses related to diversity and gender at Northwestern University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. These experiences allow me to work with clients of varied backgrounds
