Are you feeling a lack of joy and passion in your life? Are you a woman struggling with anxiety, or a couple seeking to improve communication? Living intentionally—prioritizing what truly matters to you—can be challenging. Too often, despite our best efforts, our struggles persist, leaving us overwhelmed, exhausted, and stressed. We can feel trapped, as if suffocated by the demands of daily life, without the time, clarity, or freedom to think and act with purpose. My passion lies in guiding individuals toward finding true freedom through a deeper connection with God and achieving a balanced life.

As we navigate through life, we often prioritize the needs of others before our own. As an advocate for self-care, I believe that prioritizing one’s own mental health needs is the highest form of self-care. Starting your therapy journey can be the first step toward putting yourself first and improving your overall mental wellbeing.

Something shifted and you are not sure when it happened. The life you built is still here, the relationships, the routines, the roles you have played for decades. But the person standing inside all of it feels different. Older in ways that have nothing to do with the number. The body moves differently. The mirror shows someone you are still getting used to. The children are grown. The career is winding down, or already has. And in the space where the next chapter is supposed to be, there is more quiet than you expected. Not peace, exactly. Just quiet. And underneath it, a question you have not said out loud yet: who am I now?

From the outside, many people look like they have everything together. They go to work, take care of their families, support others, and keep pushing forward even when life feels overwhelming. They are often the dependable one the person everyone turns to for help. But inside, things may feel very different. You may be feeling emotionally drained, stressed, unseen, or unsure about how to move forward. Maybe you are a teen or young adult trying to manage school stress, friendships, or life changes. Perhaps you are an adult balancing work, family, and responsibilities, feeling like there is never enough time to take care of yourself

I work with over-functioning moms often dealing with resentment, burnout, fatigue, overwhelm, parenting struggles, body changes and stress.
Therapy for overwhelmed, high-functioning moms navigating over-functioning, anxiety, late-diagnosed ADHD and other mid-life stressors. I also specialize in working with therapists and perimenopause. I work with moms who are overwhelmed and want to reconnect with who they are beyond productivity and expectations (and understand the function over-functioning has had). Therapy with me is supportive, grounded, and deeply human. This is a space where you don’t have to hold it all together — and where real, sustainable change can be grounded in real-life motherhood. I'm a seasoned therapist and also a seasoned mom- and that matters!

You may find yourself overthinking, second-guessing, or trying to hold everything together while quietly feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of your direction. I work with individuals in Chicago who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are thoughtful and introspective, yet feel stuck in patterns that leave them disconnected from their confidence and sense of self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
