I love working with those struggling with anxiety, depression , trauma, and relationship issues. I also enjoy working with folks that haven't been able to get results in their past attempts to get well. Compassion, integration, research, and skill building are the four ingredients that best describe my approach to helping. What would it be like if you were able to actually provide yourself the compassion, forgiveness, and love you so readily offer others?

Hi, I'm Tiffany McPherson. I'm a Jungian-oriented Psychotherapist, but people also call me a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or simply a Trusted Friend. I help people who are struggling to make sense of unexpected and unwanted change in their lives, such as divorce, marital infidelity, midlife or faith transitions. Often people want to move forward and leave their messy past behind them, but they don't know how to move beyond the depression , anxiety, and failure they feel for not measuring up. I can help you sort through those messy parts, find clarity, and a new fulfilling path.

I work a lot with anxiety and depression .
I chose this career path because I want to help people. I have faced my own fair share of challenges and I know what it is like to feel lost, confused, and hopeless at times. I decided to learn and grow as a professional in order to help those in need. First and foremost, I believe that establishing rapport and trust between a therapist and client are crucial to make significant changes. I believe everyone has important strengths that will help them reach their goals. My purpose is to create a safe and judgment free place where we can work together to find those strengths and get clients to the place they want to be.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
