We are a group practice with 10+ therapists who have a wide array of experience working with all ages/populations. Please visit our website for more information about each therapist at www.monarchbh.com We specialize in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). PCIT is ideal for children ages 2-8 who are having behaviors that are difficult to manage.T he behaviors may be a result of ADHD, custody issues, trauma, oppositional defiant disorder, adjustment issues, aggression and/or anxiety.
PCIT is a combination of a teaching session with the parent only, then coaching sessions with parent and child. During the coaching sessions the therapist is behind a one-way mirror coaching the parent via blue tooth devices. Initially the sessions are child-led in efforts to warm up the relationship.
At mid-treatment sessions become parent-led. We introduce commands. It is usually at this time we start seeing the difficult behaviors. At this critical time the therapist is there teaching parents the therapeutically appropriate skills to work-thru behaviors and obtain compliance in a loving, consistent and firm manner.

Monarch Behavioral Health
There are 9 of us therapists here at Monarch. We come from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds. There are a variety of specialties we provide and various populations/ages we serve. Please visit our website at www.monarchbh.org to read each of our brief bios. One of our specialties is Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. We find that PCIT is incredibly effective because we can give parents/caregivers the tools in the moment and the immediate opportunity to practice. We believe the parent/caregiver is by far the most influential person to effect change in their kiddos behavior.
