Taking New Clients. Figuring out you need extra guidance can be difficult to come to terms with. In a society where we are constantly hustling and bustling around to make ends meet, we often put our self care and mental/emotional hygiene on the back burner until it becomes a mess. Mental health is important in making sure all aspects of wellness support balance. As a therapist, I seek to increase understanding of the self and encourage growth in a non-judgmental and gently nurturing atmosphere. I specialize in treating Trauma, Trafficking, Borderline Personality Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Relationships, Anxiety, Depression.

Childhood trauma can look like: Bipolar, Borderline PD, PTSD, etc.
Whether we meet face to face or through Tele-Counseling, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, safe, and confident while we work to resolve your problems. Normal people have "symptoms" based on stressful events they experience. Mental health issues and symptoms are the normal response to difficult events in your life. More difficult experiences result in more difficult symptoms. We will make sense of your issues together and create change so you can return to a normal way of life. Call or email me soon if you would like my help creating new and lasting change in your life. I promise to work hard helping you.

Currently Not Accepting New Clients. Acceptance and Change. These two things seem like complete opposites don't they? Carl Rogers believes "When I accept myself, then I can change". We spend a lot of time hearing and believing that we, they, it needs to change to be "better" or "different". This creates a sense of loss, poor self esteem, depression, anxiety, and conflict within ourselves and with those we love. I believe when we accept others, family, loss etc, then change can happen within that as well. Therapy IS about change; learning new skills, stopping habits, doing life differently.

i am currently booked out 10 weeks. I have worked in mental health for over 20 years and have been counseling for about 10 years now. I enjoy working with individuals to help them realize their own potential. I am not the usual counselor, I don't just ask "how do you feel about that?". I know that folks want tangible skills and tools they can take home and use. I am here to help clients become aware of problem areas, teach the tools to manage them, and then help coach clients toward being successful in using those new skills.

At Sage Creek Therapy we believe the relationship between the client and the therapist is the most important component of the counseling process. We do not believe in a "one size fits all" way of therapy. We provide services for a variety of issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, co-dependency, infertility, relationship concerns, grief, and trauma.

Currently accepting New Clients. One of my goals in working with clients is to assist them in finding balance and more control in their lives. I utilize EMDR (eye-movement desensitization & reprocessing) therapy in my practice. My areas of specialization include faith transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and abuse. My clients are willing to sit with discomfort in order to discover ways to ask for what they need and allow grace for healing. Everyone needs a place to feel comfortable sharing their deepest, darkest stuff without feeling ashamed or judged.

Seeking counseling is a valiant decision. My focus is to develop a relationship based on treating each other with dignity and respect. Once this is established, we can explore options and create a plan focused on solutions. Counseling is a process in which we will discuss many issues for the purpose of creating positive changes. It provides an opportunity to better understand yourself. Participating in therapy may result in a number of benefits to you, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved relationships and increased confidence.
