My clients are motivated, wellness literate, and soulful. They are searching for something different, potent, exploratory. Many of my clients are looking to level up, but are still searching for that..."something". No matter how many books they've read, quizzes taken, or experiences they've tried...they have yet to find what that "something" is. So, to my potential clients, I'll let you in on a little secret: what you are searching for is...you. You are what you are searching for. You are the last frontier with depths unknown. My ideal client is brave enough to explore these depths, together.

Accepting new clients. In my practice I work with individuals, couples, families, and small groups. Most of the people I see are between 13 and 75 years old; overcoming trauma, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, or loss. Many feel "different", marginalized, alone, misunderstood, or not "mainstream" enough. Some look fine, but feel out of place. Some are deaf or children of deaf adults (CODA). Others are physically challenged, caretakers, straight, lesbian, gay, transgendered, or unsure. After 30 years, I still feel it is honored to be part of the growth and change people experience as skills develop and clients " Enjoy Life More".

I work with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with a variety of challenges including but not limited to substance misuse, depression, anxiety, trauma and general sense of feeling overwhelmed. My clients want to build self-confidence and build better relationships with the people they love.

In my practice, I work with adolescents, children and adults. My specialties include: relationship problems, adolescent development, health psychology, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, learning disabilities and attentional problems. Infertility counseling is also a special interest of mine, including third party reproduction issues (donor and surrogacy). My therapeutic approach varies depending on the issues with which you are struggling and who you are as a person. I don't have one approach that fits all clients but tailor my work to the individual. In general, I help clients identify and enhance their current psychological strengths in order to address their problems.

I don't think of the people as sick or broken. Rather, I see and connect with people as life happening to them in all kinds of ways, sometimes in quite painful ways. I help people to heal from the pains of the past and the limitations of the present moment by helping them shift how their brain has been working. Most of our suffering comes from how our brain is processing information in a maladaptive manner. When this is altered in a more adaptive manner, people report that the changes are very positive and long lasting.

My style is direct, down to Earth and intuitive. I prefer to use humor and common sense over clinical jargon and stuffiness. I am in the performing arts and my counseling sessions are held in my studio with all my music equipment and my dog. Most of my clients are dealing with issues related to adjustments, life transitions, relationships, self esteem, grief, and anxiety. I work with individuals/couples/families, adults and children. I am 100% freelance so I don't accommodate no-shows or frequent rescheduling. I do not accept insurance but I offer a sliding fee scale.
