About
I have extensive experience working with people with substance abuse and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, bi-polar, and PSTD. I'm the most laid-back, non-judgmental counselor you will find. We will work together and get real results. As a person in recovery for the past 20 years and a Iraq war infantry veteran, I would say my "specialty" would be veterans and first-responders and people struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, maintaining sobriety, but I work well with everyone, including OCD, ADHD, and ED.
I am a practitioner of Acceptance and Commitment therapy, which utilizes 6 core processes of mindfulness techniques to learn tools for profound life-change. This practice is helpful to all and is a proven method for treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse through increased psychological flexibility
Allow me 10 sessions to teach and implement mindfulness skills to handle painful thoughts and feelings effectively, in such a way that they have much less impact and influence; and to help clarify what's truly important and meaningful, and use that knowledge to guide, inspire, and motivate to set goals and take action.
