About
Finding the right therapist can be challenging. I listen deeply to my clients and work collaboratively to facilitate change. I bring a warm and intuitive approach to complement 20+ years of clinical experience, so you can expect to feel seen and heard while you open up to the therapeutic process. I utilize EMDR, CBT & DBT modalities to transform old beliefs that no longer serve you, and treat single incident trauma as well as complex trauma from childhood. I address the impact that neurodiversity has on individuals, couples & families. Autistic & ADHD clients' benefit and thrive from having this awareness in the therapy room.
I have worked with individuals, couples and families in private practice, clinics, foster care & IOPs; school settings from elementary through university. I work well with highly sensitive and introverted clients. I also welcome intense and challenging emotions into the room. I am available to see couples and families in crisis, typically within one week.
I bring a heart-centered approach that infuses my work with compassion and acceptance. I will challenge you to consider new perspectives, and to evaluate current thoughts and behaviors. If you think we might work well together, I invite you to contact me by voicemail, email, or text (805.259.5292). I look forward to speaking with you soon. -Ian
