About
I help people that are feeling anxious and depressed, feel less anxious and depressed. Your mind replays the past and dwells on the future, sending you into panic or making it hard to get out of bed. Your stomach is queasy, your neck is tight, and you feel like you can never quite relax. It feels like others don't see or trust the challenges you face and the effort you actually put in to just get by. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin and unaccepted wherever you go and crave a place that you can truly be yourself, un-judged and appreciated for your unique ideas and qualities. We are going to figure this out together.
Through talking about the stuff that you might typically avoid (at your own pace), we build trust. You begin to more fully accept yourself because I will fully accept you. I listen carefully and help you see what works and what doesnt, honing the tools of awareness, feeling emotion, taming thoughts, finding meaning, and making effective choices.
Anxiety and depression can be overcome. While I love sports, music, being in the outdoors, and playing with my children, I enjoy getting to know people very different than me. I invite all religious, political and sexual orientations. It is meaningful for me to see others find and express their struggles and joys. I hope you'll send me a message.
