Ian Anderson
LPC Intern, MS, PCLC
Strong and positive relationships are crucial to living a rich and fulfilling life. I work with couples, families, and individual family-members who desire improved relationships including young men in middle and high school. Our relationships with others are always-changing and, often, complicated. Clarifying what we really desire and developing tools to achieve this together and separately can help to increase happiness, quality of life, and ability to deal with the normal, daily challenges that life throws at us.
Changes in one area of life lead to changes in other areas. This is not good or bad, it just is. Therefore, I help you explore who you are and how you interact, communicate with, and are affected by the people and circumstances in your life. My counseling style relies on respecting and valuing you as a person through transparency, compassion, and acceptance.
Handling the ups-and-downs of life can be hard enough and doing it with someone new can seem intimidating. This is why our work together will keep in mind where you are, where you have come from, and where you are going in order to develop understanding and skills to meet your needs now and in the future.
