My ideal client is someone who is feeling overwhelmed by life transitions, weighed down by anxiety, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be navigating the complexities of identity, adjusting to a new phase of life, or working through the impact of trauma. Often, they come to therapy feeling uncertain but hopeful wanting clarity, connection, and a space where they don’t have to carry everything alone. What they want is not just symptom relief, but understanding. They want to feel seen and heard. They’re looking for support in making sense of their experiences, learning new tools, and discovering their strengths.

Your story matters, and so do you. The experiences we have—especially early in life—shape how we see ourselves and the world. When those experiences bring pain, they can leave lasting wounds, affecting the way you think, feel, and connect with others. But no matter what you’ve been through, healing is possible. Therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you feel truly seen and heard. I work hard to create that for you, meeting you with warmth, compassion, and curiosity. Every moment in our sessions is an opportunity for healing, growth, and self-discovery. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, uncover your strengths.

I provide individual counseling to adults, and specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, body image, disordered eating and diabetes (T1 and T2). The stresses of daily life, health management, family, and work/school responsibilities can add up to create overwhelming stress – additional stresses can also come from messages we hear in the media or through social media platforms. Sometimes, these issues can be easier to manage with a little extra help. When you are ready to reach out, help is available.

I believe meaningful change begins with connection. I work with adults who want more than surface-level coping strategies. - they want to understand themselves more deeply and find greater emotional clarity and integrity. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected often despite being capable, thoughtful, and outwardly "high-functioning." Anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics or relationship patterns are common concerns.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with compassion, acceptance, integrity, and prioritize your growth and healing, I’d be honored to work with you.
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Starting, or returning to, therapy is a meaningful step. I approach therapy as a collaborative process where we work together toward what matters most to you. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and supportive. I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment, while also offering perspective, insight, and gentle challenges when it’s helpful. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be authentic, and feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood. While we may explore deeper or more difficult experiences, I also value bringing in moments of levity and a sense of humor when it feels appropriate.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
