I focus on clients above with trauma, with adults and children as young as 2 years old. For adults/older kids, depending on the trauma, I use either traditional talk therapy (CBT) or EMDR. EMDR uses physical stimulus to process trauma memories directly. For children, I use play therapy (Ages 4-12) individually with the child or PCIT (Ages 2-7). PCIT helps guardians use play therapy skills at home to redefine their relationship with their child. I'm not a very formal person. I bring a more relaxed approach.

I am a therapist specializing in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and anxiety disorders. I am incredibly passionate about helping adolescents and adults break free from the cycles of fear, avoidance, and compulsive behaviors that keep them from living the lives they want. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and effective, and work to create a supportive environment where you'll feel understood while also being challenged to make meaningful changes in your life, accept uncertainty, and live in support of your values.

Seeking help with life challenges can be intimidating. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel comfortable to explore their struggles, reach their goals and find hope that leads to healing. Over the years in a variety of social service roles assisting children and families, I have learned that it is essential to find the right person with whom you can build an authentic connection and from whom you can receive support. I believe we can find that connection together.

If you’re reading this right now you’ve likely experienced a lot of pain. Maybe you feel lost and don’t know what to do, or you’ve tried many things and nothing seems to work. Maybe things have felt “off” for some time and you are tired of the way you feel. One thing is for sure, you’re sick and tired of feeling the way you do right now and you want someone who can help. You want someone who you can trust, someone who respects you and sees the struggle you’ve had to endure. Most importantly, however, you want someone who can help you fix your problem so you can get back to living a happy life, and finally have some peace of mind.

I became a therapist to be a professional “feelings friend” – a person whom others can approach with anything and everything in their times of need. No matter the situation, I strive to offer a warm, authentic, and supportive environment to help my clients pursue lasting change in their lives. In my office, you’ll get an advocate, a cheerleader, a teammate, a challenger, and a coach. Progress may look different for you depending on the day - however it does, I am honored to be a part of your healing.
