I mostly use EMDR, IFS (Level 1 trained), ACT, CBT, and somatic/mindfulness modalities to help target and treat issues.
Accepting New CLIENTS! Do you feel like you’ve lost yourself? Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating the overwhelming transitions of motherhood, or struggling to break free from the grip of substance use. It can feel lonely, frustrating, and at times, impossible to find your way back to a sense of peace and self-acceptance. I want you to know this: you don’t have to face these challenges alone. We’ll work together to heal emotional wounds, rebuild your confidence, and help you find clarity and balance to show up more fully and with a sense of vitality in your life.

By combining somatic therapy with relationship and connection, healing begins.
I help to repair and rebuild attachment ruptures that arise from trauma occurring in utero, during birth, early childhood or throughout childhood (also called developmental trauma). This can be from a specific experience or from subtle, chronic experiences that are often thought as insignificant. I use somatic-based therapy to regulate the nervous system.

I integrate relational, somatic, psychodynamic, EMDR and trauma-informed approaches to create a therapy experience that meets you where you are.
I’m really glad you’re here. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected from who you really are, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I help people (ages 14+) move through trauma, anxiety, and self-doubt so they can reconnect with themselves in a deeper, more grounded way. Many of the people I work with carry the weight of past experiences—whether it’s relationship pain, childhood wounds, or feeling like your mind and body just aren’t on the same page. Navigating life with layered identities can be heavy. Here, there’s space for all of you—just as you are. You’re fully welcome.

I typically draw on techniques from Person-Centered Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness/ Somatic approaches, Harm Reduction and Polyvagal Theory.
Many of my clients struggle to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, neurodivergence and grief. I've found that many symptoms we experience, were once adaptive responses to overwhelming situations from our past. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their unique needs and help them build more effective tools for managing big feelings and fostering healthy relationships with themselves and others. While it is true that we hurt in relationships, we also heal in safe, healthy relationships.

Somatic Therapists

How does somatic therapy work?

Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?

Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?

Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
