Therapy is an act of courage and self-advocacy to explore the uniqueness and depths of the human experience. It is an act inspired by curiosity and growth, aimed to guide you through your evolution to become whoever you want to be. It is a tool for humans to utilize as a way to explore the depths of who they are, work towards a narrative that aims to accept themselves as who they are, and work toward evolving into the vision of who they hope to be. I believe that most clients have what they're looking for when they walk through the doors. Therapy is a tool used to excavate and nurture what they already possess.

I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (any state), Cigna, Midlands Choice, UnitedHealthcare/Optum/UMR, Aetna, and HealthPartners, Iowa Medicaid, Iowa Total Care, Amerigroup/ Wellpoint, and Molina insurance.
I’m a neurodivergent therapist and social worker — I’m autistic and ADHD myself — working with adults who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or out of sync with the world. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, or dealing with cultural, racial, and systemic stressors that have left them feeling misunderstood or like they’ve had to change themselves just to get by. You don’t have to mask or explain everything here — we’ll work in a way that fits who you are, with an awareness of how identity and life experiences shape your world.

Children, adolescents, and adults who have faced challenging experiences in their lives or who are currently facing challenging experiences in their lives need and deserve to exist in spaces where they feel safe, can be heard and are accepted as they are. They often come to therapy because they believe they deserve to heal from their past experiences or cope with current experiences for themselves and those around them. Many of them also come to believe that they are inherently worthy of existing in a space that is safe and accepting of their authentic selves, which can be very freeing.

Life's journey is full of detours, bumps, and obstacles. Seeking guidance allows for support through these challenging times. In addition to traditional therapy, I can provide animal-assisted therapy and enjoy working with animals as part of the therapy process. My dog Lana, a golden retriever, is presently in training to become a therapy dog. When Lana’s training is complete, we will be a therapy team providing animal-assisted therapy and animal-assisted play therapy. There is a body of research supporting animals in therapy to enhance physical, emotional, and social well being, and I strive to do just that.

Seeing clients across Iowa via Telehealth! I have a tremendous understanding of the social, emotional, psychological, and societal impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences, and am aware of the importance of identifying and addressing toxic stress in both children and adults. I am also well-versed on the numerous symptoms of trauma. I understand how these symptoms can perpetuate other secondary effects such as addiction, eating disorders, difficulties with learning and processing information, and building and sustaining relationships.

Growing up as a first generation Asian American, I saw my family negatively impacted by the criminal justice system. This grew into a passion for mental health and desire to help others who may feel as though they have no voice. From the start of my career, I have leaned into opportunities that allow me to be an advocate and to learn more about the criminal justice system. Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand how our system impacts first responders and those affected by our legal system.
