I focus on clients above with trauma, with adults and children as young as 2 years old.
For adults/older kids, depending on the trauma, I use either traditional talk therapy (CBT) or EMDR. EMDR uses physical stimulus to process trauma memories directly.
For children, I use play therapy (Ages 4-12) individually with the child or PCIT (Ages 2-7). PCIT helps guardians use play therapy skills at home to redefine their relationship with their child.
I'm not a very formal person. I bring a more relaxed approach.

Life transitions can change the way we see ourselves and move through the world. Entering adulthood, navigating relationships, healing from past experiences, or becoming a parent can bring unexpected emotions and challenges. We can spend so much energy doing what is expected of us, caring for others, or simply getting through each day that we lose connection with ourselves along the way. I wonder what it would feel like to create space to explore who you are, honor what you need, and move toward who you want to become.

Sometimes it feels like you've been carrying the weight of everything for so long that you've forgotten what life is supposed to feel like. Anxiety, depression, past experiences, relationship struggles, or self-doubt can leave you feeling stuck. I help adults who want more than techniques to manage symptoms—we work to understand what's underneath them and address problems at their roots. Using evidence-based approaches, we'll explore patterns, heal old wounds, and create meaningful, lasting change. If you're ready for deeper work, I'd welcome the opportunity to work with you.

I love to hear people's stories. Stories full of joy, sadness, grief, transition, hope, and more that are still in progress. As a counselor in training, I am honored to be trusted with your story and to help you navigate life's challenges, big and small. All of it matters because all of it is part of your story.

Just as sometimes people get sick and need to visit a doctor, sometimes people need to visit a therapist. This could be due to a clinical diagnosis such as depression or anxiety, the desire to cope with past trauma, or just in response to the many and varied challenges of life. It takes courage and determination to reach out for help, and I hope that I can help. I believe we all have the ability to achieve lasting change and peace on our own, we just sometimes need help finding the way.

Accepting new clients; same day and crisis appointments available, generally Monday-Thursday 1-8pm. My aim as a counselor is to earn your trust and respect, so that you can feel confident in the care you receive. I am not a counselor who only "repeats back what you just said" (though this is important). I believe that counselors also need competency, wisdom, and the qualities of a good parent or teacher in order to be effective. The psychological views and tools I use have been developed through training and life experience. If you are open to learning and growing, I believe that you can make forward motion in your life.

It is important to me that I develop a rapport with each client that I encounter. Every client has different issues that need to be addressed. Clients are involved with identifying goals and a treatment plan to address the specific issues clients are experiencing. Some of the treatment modalities I use are strengths-based approach along with CBT to address negative ways of thinking. It is important for me to hold clients accountable for the decisions they make along with empowering them to be the best version of themselves.

Hello! I have earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I enjoy working with teenagers, adults, and older adults on issues related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, identity, trauma, and life transitions. In session, I like to be interactive and will use traditional talk therapy along with creative methods for communicating. Many people enjoy using arts, crafts, music, and movement in session, so I help foster an environment that helps people feel safe enough to express themselves through these modalities.

I'm not like other therapists you may have been to. My dedication for helping others has been fueled by the adversity in my own life. I want my clients to be themselves in my space. I won't tell you what to do, but I'll walk with you while you figure out what the best route is to meet your goals for a healthy life. I enjoy working with young adults and adults who are motivated to find a solution to alleviate their depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and self-harming behaviors. I have experience working with BPD, pornography issues, infidelity and betrayal trauma, and general life transitions.
