I don't believe your story ends with what's happened to you.
Maybe you're exhausted from having the same argument over and over. Maybe the voice in your head has become more critical than kind. Maybe trauma, grief, anxiety, or painful relationships have left you feeling stuck. Or perhaps you've spent so long surviving that you've forgotten what it feels like to truly live. If you've ever wondered, "Will I always feel this way?" I want you to know you're not alone. I don't believe you're broken. I believe you've been wounded, and I believe healing and restoration are possible.

Life transitions can change the way we see ourselves and move through the world. Entering adulthood, navigating relationships, healing from past experiences, or becoming a parent can bring unexpected emotions and challenges. We can spend so much energy doing what is expected of us, caring for others, or simply getting through each day that we lose connection with ourselves along the way. I wonder what it would feel like to create space to explore who you are, honor what you need, and move toward who you want to become.

In a safe environment, I support change by identifying and building upon the strengths of clients as individuals, couples, and in groups. I am passionate about working towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental and sexual health. As a therapist, the diverse clients I see address topics that are related but not limited to sexual trauma, couples work, LGBTQ+ concerns, kink and BDSM, non-traditional intimate relationships, and sexual wellness, education, and exploration. I aid in the development of skills to explore and challenge difficult emotions, beliefs, and behaviors that become a barrier to living a flourishing life.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff, awkward, or overly clinical. My office is a relaxed, cozy space filled with vintage novelties, therapy puns, and a "come as you are” vibe, because healing happens best when you don’t have to censor yourself.
I am passionate about supporting individuals through identity exploration, trauma, self-harm, suicide prevention, relationship challenges, and life transitions. As a veteran and first responder, I value working with individuals who share similar lived experiences and understand the impact of high-stress roles. My background as a first responder means I don't shy away from hard conversations.

Have you spent so much of your life wondering if you're too much, not enough, or if you'll ever truly belong? Maybe you've learned to hide parts of yourself, make yourself smaller, or become who others needed you to be just to feel accepted. If you're exhausted from carrying that weight, you don't have to do it alone.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
