Hello. I'm a licensed mental health counselor with 18 years experience. I specialize with clients dealing with trauma, abuse, grief, anxiety, depression , behavior and school problems. I enjoy helping my clients process and heal from traumatic events or work through stressful circumstances. I also enjoy helping clients learn more effective ways of thinking and behaving, helping them create healthier relationships and life choices and to see them feel better about themselves.

Day to day life can be challenging! When you add symptoms of depression , anxiety or have experienced trauma or hardships this can make day to day life even more strenuous. Naturally we are not born knowing how to navigate stressful, traumatic, losses or a flood of various strong feelings alone. Attempting to navigate or short it out yourself can result into a vicious cycle. I view a therapeutic relationship as a collaboration, where together we process how your personal qualities, values, strengths can be an assistance to you.

I believe individuals have the answers within themselves to produce desired change. My doctoral research and education focused on treating individuals living with chronic pain. I have worked in the human services field for over 14 years. I have experience working in a community mental health clinic, providing assessment/psychiatric evaluation in the ER & ICU, providing group counseling to individuals with PTSD and DID, and providing counseling to adolescents, adults, and couples. My experience includes working in school settings with at-risk youth struggling with behavioral issues and mental health diagnoses. I specialize in providing care for those with sexual abuse histories, sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma, PTSD, depression , anxiety, personality disorders, self harm and/or suicidal ideation.
