Life can bring many challenges, struggles, and difficult times. All of us have had seasons when we felt stuck and hopeless and in need of a starting point for healing and recovery. Very often, the past is present in disruptive ways, making it difficult to enjoy the moment or causing damage to our relationships. Sometimes worries can become consuming and we find ourselves simply surviving, instead of thriving. My passion is to walk alongside you, offering evidence-based treatment approaches, as you discover and embrace the life you want to live.

Life can feel overwhelming—for you or your child—and it’s not always clear where to start. Maybe your child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, or behavior that doesn’t make sense. Maybe you feel stuck or exhausted, carrying experiences that still feel heavy. You don’t have to do this alone. I offer a calm, supportive space where we gently understand what’s underneath and work toward lasting change. Together, we look at both what’s happening now and the deeper “why,” so healing feels meaningful, not temporary.

Most healing modalities — talk therapy, CBT, even a lot of coaching — work at the level of the conscious mind. They help you understand your patterns. Name them. Reframe them. And that's genuinely valuable. But the patterns that keep running despite all of that? Those live somewhere else. They live in the body. In the subtle body — We would be honored to be part of your next chapter in healing. "Soul Soothe", refers to practices or experiences that bring deep emotional comfort, quiet the mind, and relieve inner tension. It is about shifting out of a "fight or flight" state to reconnect with a sense of peace.

It takes real courage to reach out for therapy—especially when life feels heavy, uncertain, or just too much. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a powerful act of self-respect and hope. My role is to meet you with openness and care as we explore what’s unfolding in your life and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been quieted, hidden, or forgotten along the way. To me, therapy is sacred work—a place to tell the truth, tend to what hurts, and remember who you are beneath all the roles and expectations. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin; only a willingness to show up as you are.

It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help & when one does I honor that! Life is messy & people come in with a host of issues. As we work together I validate their life experiences & together we examine what works in their life & what doesn't. Together we explore themes & patterns that may have isolated them & kept them in a narrative that may perpetuate pain, heartache, grief, loss, anxiety, depression or an addiction. Together we create a plan to recalibrate their life.

Sexual Abuse Therapists
How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.

Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.

How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.

Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
