I believe in meeting a client where they are in life and using a compassionate and caring approach and the technique that works the best for their personal needs. I see a wide range of clients from young children through adults, with a variety of needs including adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, adolescent sexual offending and trauma. I have been trained in Trauma Focused CBT, play therapy, and PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) among other therapeutic approaches.

At Full Heart Family Therapy, we work with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of mental, emotional, and relational issues. My goal is to provide my clients with nonjudgmental, compassionate, empathetic support to aid them in overcoming whatever stress, conflict, or trauma may be occurring in their lives. There are times when a person who does not have a horse in the race of your life is useful to assist in this process.

In a safe environment, I support change with individuals, couples, and families to identify and build upon strengths. I hope to work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental and sexual health. The diverse clients I see address mental health topics that are related but not limited to stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ concerns, family relationships, couples work, sexual education and development.

When you make a decision to begin therapy for yourself or a loved one, you are making a decision to be brave. I believe that for a person to heal and move beyond their struggle, they must first have a sense of safety and connection. Together, we will develop a path of treatment that leads you too feeling more balanced.

Our providers specialize in multiple areas, including perinatal mental health, EMDR and somatic trauma treatment, OCD, sexuality, and chronic pain. Bill has a very straightforward and matter-of-fact approach to psychotherapy and counseling. He describes his approach as "change oriented", believing the client's inherent strengths provide the keys to growth and recovery. Bill recognized the profound role the family plays in mental health. Bill finds working with families especially rewarding. Much of that works includes couple and marriage counseling and youth.
