I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has spent the past decade serving individuals, children, and families in various capacities within the human service field. I specialized in crisis-based intervention, co-dependency, relational communication and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I take a responsive client-focused approach to treating trauma exposure which allows me to establish strong therapeutic alliances with clients in their most vulnerable moments.

I focus on working with adults regarding a variety of issues from mild situational anxiety to severe mental health concerns. My career spans over 15 years working in Behavioral Health settings, and five years conducting individual psychotherapy. I provide a person-centered approach utilizing CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and trauma informed modalities such as IFS to create effective coping strategies alongside my clients. I am EMDR Certified and utilize somatic re-experiencing for management of trauma symptoms.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes we all have the capability to heal from the past and work towards our future goals. My areas of interest include trauma and abuse, processing childhood trauma as an adult, PTSD, substance use and abuse, mood disorders, relationships, communication, life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I believe my clients are the professionals of their own lives, and I am able to offer further insights through my education, trainings, and experience.

I have experience helping people with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and trauma.I work with individuals and their families coping with chronic mental illnesses. I use CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychodynamic theory, and play therapy. I have a focus on helping children through divorce, adolescents and a specialty in geriatric psychology. I work with individuals, couples and families, seeing all age groups.

MGR Wellness is comprised of two Licensed Professional Counselors, George Rehkamp and Marisa Mastrianno. We offer individual, family and couples counseling sessions for all ages. We provide support for those coping with anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use and relational issues.
