I offer a psychoanalytic environment for people who are in pain and who are asking for help. A psychoanalytic environment is a place where your life really matters. Specifically, I offer help for people who have exhausted common sense and reassurance as ways of surviving life. Psychoanalysis is an environment in which you are invited to speak freely in a way that you cannot speak anywhere else. A place where your life really matters is a place that facilitates your freedom of thought, speech and feeling, a place where the unknown in you can appear.
Normal life does not typically offer opportunities to speak freely while being deeply and closely listened to. This does not mean I will think the exact same thoughts you are thinking. My role is to help you understand more than you currently understand.
Much human suffering comes from a belief that life cannot change, that there is no other way to live, that we are intolerable, or that thoughts are unspeakable. My role is to help you find new ways to talk, think, and feel about yourself, other people, and the world. If we work well together, you will begin to find a better way of being alive.
