My years of experience have taught me how to help individuals who are living with depression, or anxiety, and who may be struggling to find healthier ways of coping with distress. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a systematic approach that helps people deal with problematic beliefs, emotions and behaviors. This approach, along with Existential and Humanistic approaches, facilitates a therapeutic relationship that helps my clients to find healthier and more meaningful ways of dealing with the challenges of life.
I am an Associate Fellow and an Approved Supervisor in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. As an experienced therapist, I have worked in a variety of settings, including the Counseling Service at Bowdoin College, and a Hospital Mental Health Unit and Emergency Room.
