Namaste! Mera naam Amisha hai aur main aapka swagat karti hoon. Ek therapist ke paas jana aur apni zindagi ki kahani sunana easy kaam nahin hai. 'Log kya kahenge' ki goonj se bahut sare log silently suffer karte hain. Aap yahan aaiye aur mujhe bataye ki aap ki zindagi me kya dukh hai. Mein aapko batana chahti hoon ki hum jo bhi baat karenge woh confidential hai. Aapki problems aapse badhi nahin hai aur mein aapke saath baith kar sunna chahoongi aur apko apni pareshani ko suljhane ka tareeka bataoongi. Aap mujhe call ya email karen.

We are a team of humanistic therapists and associates. We offer Holistic Psychotherapy, which means that we focus on trusting and following the guidance of the body, mind and soul towards healing. We believe that your symptoms and inner signals are not something to go to war with, but rather they can be a compass to track where there is emotional pain at its root. We will invite you to become more familiar with your body sensations through mindfulness and help you embody a process of healing and completion.

You can confidently say, “I got this!” I use a humanistic approach rooted in attachment and systemic lens to guide my work.
At California Anxiety Relief, I work with adults, couples, and families located anywhere in the state of CA. I offer compassionate and evidence-based psychotherapy to help clients overcome any “stuck” places in life. Therapy focus is on goals such as communication skills, social skills, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc. I strive for mindful, efficient and effective therapy. I am trained in research-based models such as TEAM-CBT and EFT for couples/family. I work differently than other traditional practices. I don’t cram an hour of therapy into 50 minutes. Instead, I provide full 60-, 75-, or 90-minute sessions.

Hi and welcome! I would like to offer my hand in your journey. Often, people seek therapy when they are in a crisis such as a challenge in marriage, infidelity, difficulty with an adolescent, a transition, depression, anxiety, psychosis, or struggling with substance abuse. Sometimes people seek therapy when they need someone to help them reframe an issue or offer a different perspective. I value and respect each individual I work with. I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families using many different theoretical approaches tailored to match your unique needs and personality.

I offer my client a multicultural understanding and path to self-discovery through exploration of psyche and a depth oriented, existential, humanistic client-centered therapy.
Your therapy is your journey of self-discovery to enable you to make informed decisions, to re-educate yourself, and even to re-parent yourself. It is similar to mountain climbing where a guide is exceedingly helpful. A therapist is like a Sherpa; he carries what may be too heavy to carry, sometimes he walks ahead to clear the path but often he follows your lead, after all it is your journey. When you are on your journey and you feel the need for a guide, a Sherpa to facilitate your journey, I may be of assistance.

Psychotherapy is a sacred process where you trust the therapist and make a pact to enter a private world of pain. You're visiting this site and seeking help: I admire that you're acknowledging your needs-this reflects your strength and commitment to yourself. Rather than avoiding, you're confronting stuff--it takes extraordinary courage. We are born resilient, and though we might feel deflated, life cannot knock this resilience out of us. With your resourcefulness, you're looking for a therapist . . . you're reading this sentence, and you're taking the first step . . . congratulations!

My approach to therapy consists of creating a strong therapeutic alliance between myself and my client. I believe that the core of therapy works through the rapport built and feeling of safety my clients have in my space. I value building on strengths and I believe my clients are better able to do the hard work of therapy through understanding their strengths. I utilize a trauma informed and multi-cultural lens through my work to help clients process/understand difficult pasts, while also highlighting the importance of how race and ethnicity plays a factor in our views of the world.

It takes a lot of courage to take that step forward and seek help. At some point, the pain of staying where you are can become overwhelming, and you're ready for something to change. You are not alone! I will work to hold a safe space for you and walk beside you as we explore both your strengths and your long-standing behavior and thought patterns that have supported you in the past but maybe aren't serving you anymore.

Humanistic Therapists

How does humanistic therapy work?

One tenet of humanistic therapy is that people are good. The humanistic approach is concerned with a person’s ability to accept oneself. It likewise encourages a person to overcome self-criticism and self-defeating tendencies, as well as disapproval from others. This approach also emphasizes self-actualization and treating an individual as a whole person. A foundation of this therapy type: The patient is the expert in their life, and treatment often takes the individual’s lead.

Is humanistic therapy evidence-based?

Humanistic therapy is an evidence-based practice. Research has found that humanistic therapy can lead to significant improvement, and for some people it can be just as effective as other therapies, such as Cognitive behavioral therapy. The benefits of humanistic therapy are enduring.

How long does humanistic therapy last?

The goal of humanistic therapy is to understand a person’s day-to-day experiences. While sessions can be short-term and last over a few months, therapy can sometimes continue beyond that and last up to a year or more. And because patients learn the theory behind humanistic therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have been completed.

Is humanistic therapy effective?

According to research, many patients find success with humanistic therapy. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in addressing poor self-esteem and self-sabotage, as well as improving conditions including anxiety and depression. Improvements in problem areas can be long standing, as individuals can continue working on themselves by using the tools they’ve learned during treatment.
