Incorporating humanistic, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches, I work with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, oppositional defiance, high-risk behavior, and family dynamics.
My methods are based on a foundation of human behavior and family systems that address issues of trauma, culture, cycles of violence, substance use, co-occurring disorders and addiction within family systems. For those struggling with trauma, I use EMDR therapy, which helps to release negative cognitions and trauma responses, allowing for faster healing.
I am dedicated to helping others manage life challenges through positive coping skills, self-efficacy, social support, and resiliency. Understating that clients are the experts of their own lives and each client’s situation is unique, I am committed to meeting clients where they are in their journey to achieve balance and healthy relationships.
