For the past 14 years, I've worked with adults struggling with eating disorders and substance abuse disorders. For seven years, I served as the family program director at a treatment center for men with addiction issues. I found this role to be especially helpful because I worked directly with the clients as well as addressed the many challenging dynamics that occur within families. I know that most people who struggle with substance use disorders have a heightened awareness of other people’s emotional states. This can be both a gift and an overwhelming challenge that I can help you to navigate.
