I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Board Certified Neurofeedback Clinician, and Board Approved Neurofeedback Mentor. My educational background consists of having graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from The University of Houston, a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My doctoral dissertation was focused on comparing the modalities, EMDR and NFB, in response to intimate partner violence survivor PTSD treatment.
Given my passion for trauma work, in addition to being a Neurofeedback clinician, I am trained in EMDR therapy, am a CPT provider, trained in providing TF-CBT and well versed in play therapy strategies.
Trauma care is my biggest strength and so much can fall under the umbrella of trauma (anxiety, depression, substance use, generational trauma, epigenetics of trauma, etc.). So when you're helping someone heal from their trauma(s), you're really tackling multiple things at the same time.
