I am a child and adolescent therapist. I specialize in children ages 3-11, and I also see teenagers. I work closely with parents throughout the process, and I also offer parent consultations, for any variety of issues.
I see children with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and those experiencing family upheaval or conflict, like divorce. I also work with children on the autism spectrum.
My specialization is play therapy with young children, as play can help children express, understand and process their emotions and experiences. I take a child centered approach, but this involves working with parents as well. I try to understand the point of view of the child, as well as their parents, in helping the family sort out the presenting issues.
