Our practice consists of two clinicians Thomas DiPaola (609)731-0456 and Carol DiPaola (908)692-0925. We have over 30 years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. We understand reaching out for assistance is difficult. Treating our clients with dignity and compassion is our standard. Our mutual goal is getting RESULTS for our clients.

I have been a practicing clinical social worker for over 15 years. I have extensive experience working as a school social worker, addiction counselor and private practitioner. I incorporate different types of treatment modalities into my sessions, based on the issues and people that I am working with. My client base consists of tweens to adults and I work with individuals, couples and families.

Many of my clients are Law Enforcement, First Responders, Active Military, and Veterans who have been reluctant to begin therapy. My areas of specialty are anxiety & depression, trauma, alcohol/substance use, dual-diagnosis, and addressing the issues that result from these problems such as interpersonal and relationship issues, self esteem issues, and overall poor coping skills. When clients reach out to me, whether through email or voicemail, I make every attempt to return the correspondence. I want my clients to feel heard and that begins at the initial outreach. Through out my experiences with different client populations with unique life challenges I have come to appreciate emotional turmoil and addictive behaviors and to understand where these problems originate. I have learned to appreciate that what the individual needs is a non judgmental environment where he or she can identify the path to a healthy life and hope.

Certified Arise /Substance Abuse Interventionist/ Certified Recovery Coach working with individuals and their families affected by the disease of addiction and mental health disorders. I travel to all boroughs in NY and out of state. I have over thirty years of experience motivating families to change their negative behaviors, to healthier patterns, resulting in positive outcomes for the whole family. I provide on-going comprehensive care with families for at least six months during and placement to treatment. My approach is an invitational, compassionate and highly successful approach. Water Gap Wellness is an outpatient provider that accepts all private insurance. Located 75 miles from NYC and less than 100 miles from Philadelphia and Connecticut.

I also help many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, rational-emotive counseling, motivational, and solution-focused therapy.
