I specialize in Grief Therapy. When the heartache of loss settles in it can leave you feeling a sense of deep sorrow and emotionally numb or overwhelmed. You may feel like your world is shattered. People who love you may not understand what you are going through or know how to help. As they carry on with normal life, you may feel alone and profoundly changed forever. If you long for relief from this emotional pain, anxiety and the waves of grief that wash over you without warning, there is hope! It is possible to restore your life to something meaningful to you and experience joy again.
Self-help books and the passage of time are not always enough. Healing on a deeper level often needs a safe space to share your story and counseling tailored to meet your needs. I am certified in Neuropsychotherapy and draw upon Complicated Grief, Trauma Informed and Somatic Therapies to help you move through your grief rather than feeling stuck in it.
It is normal to feel nervous about therapy at first. As you get to know me you will find someone who is easy to talk to, unburdened by your grief and helps you feel welcome.
