My clinical practice draws from extensive training in psychotherapy that integrates a psychodynamic perspective with therapeutic interventions that match the unique needs of a client. The range of interpersonal and skill-based interventions includes an understanding of family, culture, and gender specific influences on the current issues or concerns. The use of mindfulness principles and skills provides an added support to clients for strengthening their ability to better manage stress and for overall well-being. In over two decades as a psychotherapist I have consistently found that an integrative approach is most effective for promoting the positive outcomes that my clients are seeking.
My psychotherapy approach has incorporated specialized training to best address the needs of clients and for which I am well-suited to treat. This includes problems associated with anxiety, depression, and particularly physical manifestations of emotional distress that reflects a disconnection between body and mind, such as an eating disorder.
In creating a new website I queried clients and colleagues regarding their impressions of my work and overall professional approach to include in a testimonial page - the following words are some of those shared: EMPATHIC, FOCUSED, ETHICAL, COMMITTED, POSITIVE MINDSET, ATTUNED and ENGAGED. View my website for more detailed information.
