Working with me is pretty straightforward: whatever you need to do is what we will do. If you’re not yet sure what that is, that’s ok too. I mainly operate from a solution focused realm where we can collaborate on how to get you functioning in a realistically better place. I don’t believe therapy is a magic wand that one waves over a client where you don’t know what’s going on. You’re the expert on your own life, culture, and existence. I’m here to support that because your lived experience is what matters.
All counseling is cross-cultural, but a lot of my experience has been with immigrants and people who are making big life transitions. I have master's degrees from Bellevue University in Clinical Counseling and Leeds Beckett University (UK) in Psychology, but my original area is Geography. I taught social and cultural diversity for several years.
