My approach is tailored to your needs, guided by my experience. Together we track progress. In practice since 1979, I see all ages and most problems. I enjoy long-term depth psychotherapy as well as short-term problem solving therapy. I work with parents, couples, families and individuals and consult for psychotherapists.
Parenting, intimacy, communication, self-regulation, AD/HD, learning differences, effects of childhood abuse, special education challenges, anxiety & depression, changing life-long relationship patterns--common reasons people work with me. I have extensive training: interpersonal/object relations, systems theory, cognitive-behavior, mindfulness/spiritual, hypnotherapy, psychoneurological/biochemical, AD/HD, attachment & narrative therapies.

Utilizing research from neuroscience on the emotional brain, you will learn skills and approaches to communication that will bring down the emotional escalations, help you to feel safer, improve the clarity of your communication, stop predictable & recurrent mutually reactive interactions and deepen the mutual understanding and connection between you.
