My approach to psychotherapy can best be described as an integrative approach, using one or more theoretical frameworks when conceptualizing a case and/or approaching treatment planning and implementation. Most often, I employ a person-centered approach that focuses on the needs of each individual and incorporate aspects of cognitive, behavioral, mindfulness, play, and/or family systems approaches in my work with individual clients and families.
A native of west Texas, I had the good fortune to live in several states throughout the southwest during my youth, and I am delighted to now settle in Durango and make it home. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializing in therapy and assessment with children, teens, young adults, and their families.
I require payment by credit card, cash, or check at the time of service for the expected patient portion. I am in network with many of the major insurance companies - however, I am unable to accept Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). I am also happy to help with out-of-network billing if needed.
