I believe that therapy can be a space for introspection and positive change. I work to establish a collaborative, warm, and supportive relationship in order to cultivate insight by exploring how your past impacts current behavior, emotions, and relationships. My practice focuses on how traumatic experiences in your history and the different systems that you are a part of inform the struggles you may be facing. Cultivating a deeper understanding of yourself can be transformative to both your relationship with yourself and with others.
I work with both individuals and couples, and draw mainly on psychoanalytic/psychodynamic practice. I lead with curiosity, and strive to create a safe and empathetic environment in which to explore your experiences in order to bring what may be unconscious into the conscious realm.
I have a firm belief in self-determination and empowerment in and out of the therapy room. My therapeutic style is gentle and direct. You are the expert in your experience, and I view my role as a clinician as one of walking alongside you on this journey rather than leading.
