I provide psychological evaluations for all ages, for issues such as ADHD, learning disorders, autism, behavioral struggles, and AG/early admission to kindergarten/home-school assessments. I also provide individual therapy for children and adolescents for issues such as anxiety, behavior struggles, and academic strategies. My therapy approach tends to be cognitive-behavioral, but I'm committed to suggesting the most up-to-date, empirically supported treatments.
I have served families throughout the Triad since 2003, in settings including traditional private practice, community mental health, charter schools, and academic services providers. These experiences keep me up-to-date on the latest policies/practices required by Dept. of Education, local private schools, and community resources for education &/or therapy.
As a children's ministry director of 15+ years and mother of two teens, I spend considerable time with young people and am able to make them feel comfortable and valued. I'm happy to integrate a Christian perspective, but I'm also perfectly comfortable working with families of other belief systems.
