I have extensive experience in Trauma and Addiction Issues that result in behavioral consequences. I work best with adults of all ages but have had successful results with mature young adults and elders with dementia. I work from a reality therapy approach and believe the best solutions are the solutions the clients generate for themselves with guidance from the therapist.
I am particularly interested in the unique trauma experienced by the first responder. But all those experiencing trauma may resort to addictive or behavioral coping strategies and we can work towards recognizing and changing those behavioral maladaptations.
Groups for first responders, substance abuse and behavioral health issues are scheduled for the Summer of 2017.
