If you live anywhere in Iowa, let's chat! I believe strongly in a solid therapeutic relationship. I use a down-to-earth approach (and a little humor at times) to build connection and to achieve the very best outcomes from therapy. I work with adults on a variety of concerns, including (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adjustment difficulties, phase of life concerns, divorce, serious acute/chronic illness, and trauma/PTSD. I also enjoy working with first responders and corrections employees. We are all a work in progress!
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are very useful in navigating challenges in a person's day-to-day life. I am the first LMHC in Iowa to earn a certification in Havening.
Our world is struggling at every level, but that doesn't stop the personal battles we face ourselves. Whether you are looking for a little extra support or you are ready to take on a major challenge, I'm here to help! (Note: please reach out by e-mail for new client inquiries.) I look forward to working with you!
