Hey Gen Z! I want to help you find your voice and empower you to be the best you can be. I draw heavily from Rogerian (person-centered) therapy, with the belief that clients deserve unconditional positive regard and empathy no matter what they bring into therapy. I also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, and I use art and play therapy as well. I find passion in working with clients who have experienced trauma and want to find the tools to find their own voice and break out of negative cycles that have impacted their families. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone is a work in progress, and I would love to get to know you!
I specialize in trauma/PTSD, grief work, depression, anxiety, and foster care-related trauma and stressors. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Maryville College in 2015 and a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University in 2018.
I am a registered professional counselor associate with 5 years of experience working with youth in various settings. I have worked with kids and teens in outpatient, school, and residential settings. I believe that kids and teens deserve a safe space to process whatever is going on in their lives, as well as to have an unbiased, supportive person to go to.
