My practice is designed to help clients work through issues, current or historical, which are keeping them from a full and contented life . I have over 20 years counseling experience. My specialties are eating disorders of all types,trauma and OCD treatment. Because, eating disorders co-occur with many other psychological diagnoses including PTSD, OCD, and various anxiety and mood and personality disorders, I have learned to employ a variety of techniques to achieve results, and not stick to a "one-size-fits-all" treatment approach.
I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) is a cutting edge approach which enables me to work with difficult-to-treat issues including body image distortion, dysmorphia, body memories, etc. SP is not hands-on body work. Instead, SP uses mindfulness techniques to access, heal, and transform issues.
We have both Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs for both adolescents and adults. These programs are for people who need something more intensive and structured than outpatient treatment. They offer intensive treatment for those stepping down from inpatient care, or for those not ready for inpatient or residential programs.
