About
After returning to the Coachella Valley in 2018 and reopening my private practice, I am humbled by hurting yet courageous individuals who have reached out for my help. I am reminded how important it is to provide a safe space for clients to share their pain and experience a healing environment of support. It is my goal to meet you in your vulnerable place with unconditional respect and regard and to guide you gently in your journey of recovering.
My areas of expertise include abuse and trauma, working with individuals and couples who have experienced sexual abuse. It is paramount to me that I address recovery with sensitivity and tenderness while addressing the shame, secrecy, and stigma which accompany these injuries. I also work with family of origin issues and couples who are struggling.
Although I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my therapy, it is critical to the therapeutic relationship that I connect with my clients. This requires I listen intently and respond empathically, while asking questions which shift clients into healthier ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling. I also highly respect clients' spiritual needs.
