Therapy is an integral part of self-care and overall health. My goal is to help clients uncover their strengths and passion to live more fulfilling lives. Communicating (with self or others) is a common area of focus, particularly relating to transitions across the lifespan (such as adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, etc.) as well as facilitating meaningful communication both for the individual and the relationship (for example, couples, family members, friends, and coworkers).
I embrace a holistic approach to mental health and incorporate factors that contribute to overall health and wellbeing, including motivation, goal-setting, sleep hygiene, nutrition, and fitness.
In addition to my clinical work, I conduct research at the Columbia University Medical Center focused on the use of social networks to improve health outcomes. I have also taught numerous college courses at Florida International University and Touro College.
