Working as a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping people cope with their issues. I guide my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their hearts. Earning my Bachelors of Science in Psychology as well as my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling has provided me with the knowledge, skill, and technique to work towards guiding clients to work towards peace and growth.The desire to motivate people to work towards their goals developed early in my college years when I worked as a mentor for a local community ministry in a small college town.

When life gives you challenges the process of managing those challenges can be real difficult. Having someone to process and find solutions to real life issues can be helpful and supportive. I have a very well rounded background in both adult and child therapy. I have worked with Oncology clients, clients in crisis, couples, families and children with different emotional needs. When I meet a client it is important to meet them where they are and develop a strong therapeutic relationship.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We all have what it takes inside to make it over life's hurdles. But sometimes we need a helping hand. They come with urgent needs because of relationships, social or friendship problems, difficulty completing schoolwork, trouble sleeping, problems with family members, worries about the future, difficulty dating or worries about work. I also specialize in school refusal, and social skills. Some of my clients have high functioning autism. Hi, my name is Lori Bachman, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over twenty years of experience delivering counseling services to people seeking support and guidance through difficult times in their lives. I utilize a variety of theoretic styles that best suit a person individually. Using a client-centered approach, I combine a soft and direct approach and use models such as trauma informed somatic experience, rational emotive, cognitive and dialectical therapies to explore the past and present to aid in the development of coping skills to improve one's emotional and overall wellbeing.

An ideal client seeks change, guidance and willing to take the steps in healing. My purpose is to treat the root of the problem and not the symptoms as healing begins from within. As a former educator, I take my expertise working with individuals based on their individual needs. Currently, as a Middle School Counselor I seek to understand the overall being, awareness and who they are becoming. Together we will focus on the importance of past experiences on present issues in order to evoke awareness, healing and perseverance.
