I am a Licensed Bilingual Psychologist and the Owner/Founder of Coral Valley, where our mission is to support you through the ups, downs, and in-betweens of life through the provision of evidence-based, culturally curious psychological interventions within the frame of an empathic, therapeutic relationship—in English, Spanish, or both. At Coral Valley, we offer an integrative psychotherapeutic approach, psychological assessments, and psychoeducational training for individuals, couples, families, and groups related to a variety of mental health issues.

I provide individual and family therapy to address client and family social, emotional and behavioral concerns. I am specialized in working with victim trauma, general mental health problems, substance abuse, chronic behavioral health problems, and youth with sexually maladaptive behavior issues. I also have experience working with children and families struggling with history of domestic violence, addiction, and working with adolescents on aggression replacement, acceptance and responsibility and implementing healthy lifestyles. This practice does NOT get involved in custody/divorce cases.

I have been told that I provide a safe and supportive environment which facilitates opening up and confronting issues. As a therapist, I strongly believe that it is critical to meet people where they are at in their life, not forcing change, but rather stimulating and motivating change providing individualized treatment for each client. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy.

My highest priority is to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout our time together. I specialize in both CBT and DBT treatment and have begun providing EMDR services to my clients as of 2024. Dr. Folts sees clients facing a variety of issues with offices in Arizona and Florida. Life presents us with circumstances; at times challenging our relationships and ourselves. Therapy can be a catalyst in the discovery of creative and viable solutions, or in the personal work toward acceptance. Dr. Folts brings a wealth of experience and training. She has been a faculty member with Maricopa Community Colleges and counseled students, employees and faculty in her work with Arizona State University. Dr Folts' doctoral research included depression, anxiety, chronic/prolonged illness, as well as those facing terminal diagnosis.

I am a board certified bilingual psychologist who provides psychotherapy and a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with prescribing privileges.

I am a client centered therapist where I assist the client(s) whether they be adults, teens, tween or the complete family. My passion is working with indviduals by improving communication, boundaries, and healing trauma providing noticeabe growth for the individual and/or family members. What I have been learned with experience as an individual therapist and parent educator is the need for a safe place to share emotional responses to tramatic and/or everyday life situation and learn how to manage and share their emotions appropriateluy no matter the develop,ental stage of life.
