Heart and Soul Counseling, LCSW, PC is a progressive, comprehensive mental health center that offers psychotherapy, medication management, genetic testing and drama workshops in office. We offer individual, couples and family counseling to all populations including veterans, trauma victims, LGBTQI, older adults, teens and children. I Collaborate with psychiatrists (medication), attorneys (divorce/estate plannng) and neurologists (ADHD), to ensure the client receives proper care . A treatment plan is formulated for symptom management and stress reduction. Additionally, a detailed Psychosocial history and Mental Health Assessment is completed, together resulting in a working diagnosis. The client may then remain in treatment with me or will be referred to the appropriate setting to fit their individual needs.

Dr. Oakes is a NYS licensed psychologist who specializes in issues particular to women such as infertility, child development, and postpartum depression. She works with children, adolescents, adults and families. In addition to individual and family therapy, Dr. Oakes provides assessments for the diagnosis of autism, learning disabilities, and emotional disorders. She also provides the required testing and reports for clients undergoing bariatric surgery.

I am a committed and compassionate therapist with a specialty in Eating Disorders although my practice is not limited to this issue. I also work with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, codependency and various other issues. I enjoy helping people empower themselves by discovering their strengths and exploring issues that have hindered them in the past. My clientele ranges from people 16-70+ years old.
