Dallas Therapy Associates was founded Dr. Bates in 2019. We are a group psychologists who specialize in the treatment of individuals, couples, and families. As a group we consider the study of human development, the mind and human interactions as our passion. Individually we are well versed in a variety of treatment approaches and have a diverse clinical background.
Our work goes beyond targeting certain symptoms and instead aims to help people find meaning and purpose in their lives, unlock creative potential, and strengthen their relationship to themselves and other people. We fundamentally believe in the process of change and enjoy contributing to healthy transitional periods or life changes.
Humans are complex and often unaware of the many forces driving or limiting them. We strive toward a mutual contract between therapist and client aimed in alleviating the client's suffering and helping them to live more realistic and satisfying lives. Please email reception@DTAcare.com for more information or to book an appointment today.

Adult DBT Skills Group - Online

As a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which teaches individuals increased awareness of thoughts/feelings, as well as improved methods of coping with discomfort, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a tool set which enacts lasting change in both thoughts and behaviors. One of the most valuable functions of Dialectical Behavior Therapy is the acquisition of a new skill set for managing uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. Incorporating DBT techniques in one’s life often translates into increased self-concept, improved communication skills, healthier relationships, and a more meaningful existence.
