I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) as well as a Certified Dialectical Behavior therapist (C-DBT). My aim is to provide a friendly, respectful & non-judgmental environment in which clients can safely explore any issue(s) that might bring them to therapy/counseling. I've acquired practical experience throughout the Public, Private & Voluntary sectors of the Mental Health Service, working with people of all different ages, ethnic & cultural backgrounds; I have had many years of experience in helping clients, who feel that they are on the point of no return.

My own journey has led me to my career as a therapist which allows me the honor and opportunity to work together with my clients to recognize their own strengths and limitations in achieving their goals. From my previous work background I have learned that having a therapist you can not only trust but have a personal connection with is very important. I believe every individual has their own unique experiences, trauma, and issues and I would like to be that safe place for someone to unravel these experiences and together work towards a positive healthier journey. I strive to always validate my client's feelings and have an open empathetic mindset during my sessions which I believe is very important.

Rize-Up Together was started by three women of The Bronx who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities where confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Rize-Up Together began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

I approach therapy through a multicultural lens, aiming to guide clients through a journey of wellness helping clients gain skills for optimal living. I take a holistic approach to therapy including mindfulness and meditation. I am trained in multiple theories such as humanistic theory and relational-cultural theory. I also draw from narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, interpersonal and social rhythm therapy, and trauma informed therapy when necessary.

One of the many reasons why people cannot move forward is because they keep applying an old formula to a new level in their life. Change the formula to get a different result! NEW- Availability for clients seeking neuropsychological evaluations in MA! We partner with The LEGO Foundation to support families of neurodivergent children, those with developmental delays, and children in need of a diagnosis that are between the ages of 3-12. Through our Family Support Program we create a customized Family Support Plan that works on language development, adaptive skills, cognitive skills, social skills, family mental health support, and self care and support. The goal of our program is to provide continuous training and support to families that will improve the families overall well-being and quality of life.

I believe my 10 years of experience has given me the strength and compassion to work with adults and elderly people. I have worked with clients with chronic medical diagnosis including adults discharged from nursing homes into the community. My clients were provided with emotional support and resources to readjust in the home and community.
