Aura psychological services was founded with the intention to provide the highest quality mental health treatment to individuals, families, and couples. We are a group practice comprised of skilled and diverse psychologists with extensive and complex educational and training backgrounds and highly qualified to evaluate your concerns and provide effective treatment. We provide therapy and psychological evaluation and testing services, including ADHD testing, to individuals, couples, and family. We work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults. We also accept most major insurances, including Medicare and some AHCCCS plans.

I am Sonam (Sonia) Kaur Sharma, a dedicated mental health therapist, committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and discover inner balance. With a deep focus on supporting the South Asian community, I offer a secure and empathetic environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My background in Psychology and expertise in culturally attuned therapy enable me to tailor a holistic approach to meet the unique needs of BIPOC (specifically South Asian) individuals.

It takes courage to take the first step to break cycles of generational trauma, dysfunctional relationships, repressed emotions, and various struggles that were passed on from generation to generation. Together we can walk the path towards awareness, healing, growth and break those cycles that we once considered the ‘normal’.

My clients may be high achieving individuals suffering from various forms of angst between family stressors, career pressures, health changes, life transitions, and having difficulty facing patterns that no longer serve them or their relationship with the world. My clients may be dealing with depression, anxiety, and a lack of clarity. They may be having difficulty finding the answers that are already within themselves. My goal is to expose them to these codes and present the various strengths their mind finds.

I also provide relational counseling to resolve conflicts in other significant relationships such as parent/adult child, friends, etc. My services also include individual therapy for people dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, body image disorders, etc. In addition to working with a diverse population, my lived experience of being a South Asian immigrant allows me to connect with those with multicultural issues, adjustment issues, immigration-related stress, and/or family conflicts.
