Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just don't know what else to do? In therapy, I provide an environment in which you can feel safe and encouraged when working through relationship issues or to make changes when life has become too stressful. I will work with you to help bring back hope, peace, and balance into your life. Change may not be easy but it is possible. I speak Spanish fluently and have worked with individuals, couples and families for years honoring their journey, culture, and uniqueness.

I have worked with young children and their families in an educational setting for many years. For the past several years, my focus has been to help clients who are having difficulties with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, relationship issues, addictions, school pressures, family stress, and other challenges.

I want to help you explore your strengths and challenges. I will work with you to help reduce problematic symptoms affecting your daily functioning so that you can lead a happier, healthier, and more successful life. I offer reasonably priced groups on parent-child relationships, grief, communication, and healthy boundaries.

Hillside Counseling Center's Groups

Parent-child relationships

Children who have warm, supportive, nurturing relationships with their parents will be more likely to flourish, not only in school, but in all areas of their lives. Children want and need unconditional love and support, an environment built on respect and trust, and well-defined limits and boundaries to foster strong parent-child relationships. As parents, it may not always be easy to encourage positive behaviors when emotions run high but, it may not be as difficult as you might think. Sometimes, it's just the little things that could make a world of difference.

Loss and Grief

Have you experienced the loss of a loved one? It can feel as though you are all alone and it can be overwhelming, but together, we can learn skills to help build resilience and hope through a supportive environment. Taking the first step to find support is a difficult one to take but you are not alone. In this group, we will talk about the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining depression, and acceptance), we learn coping skills, and we will be empathetic. Join us in this safe space to share with others your experience.
